Spotlight: Brooklyn Barclays Center Entertainment

Brooklyn, NY – Open since September 2012, Barclays Center is now home to the Brooklyn Nets and New York Islanders, as well as a multitude of music and entertainment shows. In fact, in its very first year, Barclays surpassed Madison Square Garden as the highest-grossing entertainment venue in the US. Premier performances have included Jay Z, Beyonce, Barbra Streisand, Paul McCartney, and Madonna, to mention just a few.

Following are a few upcoming events you won’t want to miss:

 

 

Roger Waters - Sep 11, 12 Roger Waters (Sep 11)
Roger Waters, co-founder of the renowned rock band Pink Floyd, will bring
his new tour, Us + Them, to Brooklyn on September 11 & 12. The tour,
promoted by AEG Live’s Concerts West, marks Waters’ first return to the
U.S. since his sold-out The Wall Live (2010-13) world tour, which remains the highest grossing tour by any solo artist in history.

 

Paul McCartney - Sep 19, 21 Paul McCartney (Sep 19)
Due to overwhelming demand, Paul McCartney has added a second show on Thursday, September 21 at Barclays Center in addition to the previously
announced show on Tuesday, September 19.

 

Islanders-Flyers Islanders vs. Flyers (Sep 20)
New York hosts the Philadelphia Flyers in Islander’s first preseason home game.

 

Islanders-Devils Islanders vs. Devils (Sep 25)
New York hosts the New Jersey Devil’s in Islander’s second preseason home game, and sixth of the preason.

 

Ed Sheeran - Sep 29, Oct 1 Ed Sheeran (Sep 29)
Ed Sheeran will bring three nights of chart-topping hits and fan favorites in support of his latest album release, Divide, along with special guest James Blunt.

Nets-Heat Nets vs. Heat (Oct 5)
Brooklyn hosts Miami in the Nets’ first pre-season home game.
